About Laura

I BELIEVE ALL WOMEN WERE CREATED TO LIVE A HEALTHY, VIBRANT, AND PURPOSEFUL LIFE.

I'm Laura Schoenfeld, and I help high-achieving, spiritually-driven women discover their best diet and lifestyle to reach their health goals, so they can pursue their bigger purpose and make a meaningful impact in the world.

Listen, friend. I know that you’ve got something inside you that’s far bigger than your health issues or your diet and exercise obsession.

And I know you want to access that part of you. The part of you that wants to find your purpose, fall in love, fearlessly follow your intuition, or do incredible work that makes a difference in the world.

You know were created for more than obsession and frustration about food and fitness.

You want to live a  meaningful life where good health is simply a tool to help you follow your dreams, not your sole purpose in life.

Let's make that happen!

Together, we’ll get to the root of what’s keeping you stuck in a state of discomfort and dissatisfaction and map out an action plan that gets you real results.

Whether that’s relief from a distressed digestion that leave you bloated, the kind of fatigue that has you nodding off at work, or excess weight that just won’t budge even with countless trips to CrossFit, you'll finally get clarity on how to resolve the root cause of these health challenges.

You deserve to feel healthy, energetic, and free from fear around your health choices every day. And I’m here to be your guide.

The one that shows you how to eat and train for your unique body, resolve physical symptoms, and create the space you need to develop a great relationship with your food and yourself.

With me, you can lay everything on the table without fear of judgment or feeling like you're "not enough".

I’m a clinically trained Registered Dietitian, who combines evidence-based functional nutrition training with spirituality and self-compassion. I practice this way because I understand that health isn’t only physical, it’s emotional. The way we think about ourselves very much impacts the way we treat ourselves. I know this first hand because I've lived through it myself.

My Journey to Body Acceptance & Self-Love

I’ve always known how to eat well. Growing up, my mom (also a dietitian) had me eating lots of fresh vegetables, properly prepared whole grains, raw milk, and high quality everything. Being choosey about food and understanding how it affects my health has practically been part of my DNA as a result.

However, when I reached my teenage years, I became extremely self-conscious about my body. And one vivid remark from a friend about me having a “big butt” triggered a whole slew of unhealthy choices that included replacing my balanced lunch with chocolate Slim Fast shakes. I thought if I just got "healthier" (i.e. thinner) I would be acceptable and lovable.

This feeling followed me to college, where I dove into a high-intensity training schedule for the volleyball team. As my training ramped up, I naturally lost 30 pounds, was more fit than ever, and suddenly got a lot of attention from new friends and boys alike. People were constantly commenting on how good I looked and honestly... it felt really good.

I was in the best shape of my life, had a serious boyfriend, and was part of a fun sorority—I had everything I thought I wanted, but under the surface, I felt afraid. I believed the way I looked was what made me worthy of love and belonging, and maintaining my appearance was the only way to keep what I had. It was a lonely and exhausting experience.

Looking back, I can see that I teetered on the edge of excess exercise and food restriction. I also felt incredibly conflicted about my diet and fitness choices. I wanted to have a six pack, but I also wanted to be healthy because of the nutrition principles I’d learned as a kid. I wanted to learn how to balance a heathy diet and lifestyle with my desire to look healthy. And those two things combined are what finally led me to follow in my mother’s footsteps and enroll in my master's degree program for nutrition and public health to become a registered dietitian (RD).

So what shifted things for me? What finally had me less concerned with physical appearance and more on living my life?

Well, as I got to work as a nutritionist, I began to realize that nutrition advice alone was not resolving the insecurities that many of my clients were feeling about themselves. And just like the women I was working with, I finally saw for myself that pursuing weight loss and the “perfect body” wasn’t making anyone happy, including me.

Through lots of work on my own mindset combined with a deepening of my faith in God, I woke up to the fact that I was using way too much headspace worrying about how I looked, how much I weighed, and how everyone perceived me.

From that moment forward, I decided it was time to for a change. Not only would I embrace my perfectly imperfect self, but I would also help others do the same.

So I got to work, and I can proudly say I am more accepting of my body than ever. I am far more able to balance my health goals with my desire to live a life of freedom and joy. I still struggle sometimes but I'm consistently making progress towards a better balance!

Today, I’m on a mission to help women like you find freedom from the health concerns that are holding you back from living your best life. I’m also here to help you realize that your self-worth and value does not have to be dictated by the number on the scale, whether or not you have a thigh gap, or the opinion of others.

Together, we'll help you truly nourish yourself, mind, body, and spirit, so that you have the energy and vibrant health necessary to live the life of your dreams.

I'm so glad you're here, and I can't wait to help you achieve your highest level of real health and wellness so you can live the amazing life you were created for.
